Sports activities to do in the Gard
Camping L’Olivier has the sporting spirit, and will be of good advice to guide you towards the sport of your choice.
Hikers, mountain bikers, joggers and fishermen will have something to enjoy in a bucolic setting around Lake Attuech and on the outskirts of the Gardon. Adjoining the campsite, you can extend your walks and other sports activities on the greenway.
As for water sports, you can head to the banks of the Gardon to practice canoeing, kayaking and canyoning.
The 8-hole course of the Golf Club Alès Ribaute will work your swing between the wooded part and the plain with a body of water.
Fans of car and motorcycle sportswill pass by the Mechanical Pole of Alès. They will discover all the possibilities of driving and baptism, whatever their discipline: automobile, motorcycle and karting.
Family stay: the top activities to do with your children
In the heart of the Gard and near Camping L’Olivier, you will find an infinite number of activities to do with your family. Young and old will enjoy a superb horse ride or a nice tree climbing course.
An archery event will awaken this little archer, like Robin Hood, asleep inside you. If you feel like competing against each other, why not go for a game of Paintball or Laser Game.
And to have fun from 0 to 99 years old, we advise you to take a look at the Paradis Kids playground with its inflatable and aquatic structures. And for the greediest, a must visit by the Haribo Museum in Uzès.

Unmissable events
Some events will be unmissable during your stay in the south of the France at Camping L’Olivier. The winegrowers of the IGP Cévennes organize in July in Anduze, the festival of “THE IGP CÉVENNES”.
In Anduze and St-Jean-du-Gard takes place in August the music and humor festival “LOL & LALALA”, you will spend rhythmic moments and bursts of laughter.
In August, in the capital of the Vase d’Anduze also takes place the Festival of Ceramics.
The pretty village of Anduze organizes every year the traditional chestnut festival during the month of October.
The city of Nîmes and its arenas, welcome you twice a year to celebrate its ferias. In spring takes place the Feria of Pentecost and at the end of summer the Feria of the Harvest. Every year you can go wild during the Festival de Nîmes, from mid-June to mid-July.
Hiking near Anduze
For hiking lovers, Camping L’Olivier is ideally located and surrounded by a multitude of walks to undertake. Stéphane and Tatiana will always be there to advise you and recommend the different possible itineraries according to your desires.
From Camping L’Olivier you can take a wonderful walk around Lake Attuech.
Hikers will be charmed by the castle of Tornac, a route starting from the village of Tornac for a hike that will take you to 424 meters above sea level and from where you will have a view of the Gardon plain and the Cevennes.
A must through the town of Anduze which will offer you a memorable memory with its 180 kilometers of hiking trails, passing by the Pagoda Fountain and the Great Protestant Temple. To enjoy a grandiose panorama of the Cevennes mountains and the Gardon valley, you can walk forest paths that will lead you to the mountain summit of the Capelans.
